Can I change the color of the template?

A: Some of the templates have their colors controlled in the HTML code and some have graphic images that contain the colors. The case of graphic images, you will need a graphics program such as Adobe Photoshop or any one of hundreds of image creation programs.

A: Some templates are designed and sliced for only 800*600 resolution screen so you can't change it to fit the whole page by just Dreamweaver. The only way to expand the width size of the design is to slice its PSD file with Photoshop again right from the start. This might need some basic skills of making HTML. However, some templates can't be customized to fit the whole page because they are specially designed for fixed width.

A: You don't need to alter JPG or GIF files. You need to update the text in the PSD file.
When your PSD source file already opened in Adobe Photoshop, press “T” key to use type tool. Click with type tool cursor the text you want to edit. If appearing message says “Editing or rendering the text layer…” never mind it, everything will be editable without any problems.

If your text field should contain several rows, you can start typing from the new line by pressing “Shift + ENTER”.

You can quit editing mode by pressing “Ctrl + Enter”. If you want to discard all editing changes press “ESC” key to quit editing and undone all changes.

If you want to change some of text attributes such as font family, style or color do the following. Select text which properties you want to modify. Then go to the options panel at the top of the screen. If you can’t see it for any reason, show that panel by selecting Window/Options from top menu.

At the options panel you can see four dropdown menus, text align icons and color bar. First dropdown menu allows you to change font family, but we recommending you not to change it. Our professional web designers already selected best looking font.

Second dropdown box contain font styles. Bold, Italic and Regular styles available there.

Next dropdown represents font size.

Last dropdown changes text rendering style. Use this option to make your text look softer and more professional.

Dynamic Flash Templates technology allows you to edit text and change pictures in your site, eliminating the necessity to modify and recompile FLA source file.

Flash source files (.FLA) are present in the template package as well. However, try to avoid modifying these files unless you understand ActionScript. Otherwise, use www.templatetuning.com customization services to make changes.

Here is the basic information you need to know to edit Dynamic Flash Template:

1.Do not delete the main file of the template index.html

2.You must edit the xxxx_main.html file in the \site_flash folder to change the text. DO NOT rename them! Otherwise, you will not be able to edit text without Macromedia Flash software.

3.Text editing:

Open xxxx_main.html file in text editor, e.g. Notepad. In this file you will find h1...hn and t1..tn variables. H-variables are charged with header text, E-variables are charged with text blocks. Find the variable you need and type in your text after the sign of equality (=)

4.Picture editing:

A:   Each layout is a PSD file, containing layers which are systematically named. You can scan your logo or import your logo from any software like CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator and replace it with the layer named "logo" (in some templates the layer "logo" can be named in different ways, in such cases you need to surf through the layers at the Layers panel to find this one)

You have purchased flash site template and most of the editing should be done in a Flash software.

You should edit your .FLA file from the Sources/Flash folder with your Flash software. When you've finished editing press Ctrl+Enter to see the test movie, this will create a new .SWF file in the Sources/Flash folder. Move your new .SWF file from the ?Sources/Flash? folder to Site_flash/Flash folder and replace the old .SWF file with your new one. After this upload the content of the Site_flash folder on your server. Do not upload the folder itself but only the content of it.

A:   When unzipping the template .ZIP file, make sure your unzipping program restores the original folder structure. If you are using WinZip (http://winzip.com) to extract the files, make sure the 'Use Folder Names' checkbox is checked.

Q: I noticed that the template is in some language that i can't identify. I need it in English. What should I do?

A: 'Lorem Ipsum' is not simply a random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

Screen resolution compatibility

Trouble importing my pictures in Dreamweaver

Q: I am having trouble importing my pictures in dreamweaver, they seem to shift the table cells to where they do not look right. Also, some of the pictures have borders, making it hard to match them with the content that I would like to insert.

A: If you want to replace the default image that came with the template, with your own one, please, use Adobe Photoshop (free trial version of Adobe Photoshop at http://www.adobe.com/products/tryadobe/main.jsp#product=39):

Open your PSD file in Adobe Photoshop. To add a new image open image file and then just drag'n'drop it to your template opened in photoshop. When you make all
changes to your PSD file you have to save slices that have been modifyed. To do it press ctrl + alt + shift + s to call save for web window. Then select all slices that you want to save (hold shift for multuply selection). Press save. Select "selected sliced" and "images only" in next dialog. Choose directory with your html files (not HTML\images but HTML\) then save it. If you done everthing right your'll be asked to replace or not old image files , choose replace.

1. Extract the ZIP archive to the separate folders:

b) Site folder

3. You will find the red-icon .fla file(s). To avoid problems with the fonts for the template, make, sure that all the fonts
are installed properly. You may access all the necessary information on fontsâ€™ installation by following links:

4. The flash .FLA files are fully editable.
